About Me

Meet Your Therapist

We navigate our way through our lives carrying both our hurts and triumphs. Sometimes feeling as though we must face the stresses, pressures and challenges that life can throw at us on our own. Alongside this, we often judge and criticise ourselves, thinking, and perhaps believing, that we should somehow do better, be better, that who we are isn’t good enough. Leaving us feeling overwhelmed and isolated.

I chose psychotherapy as a career not only to help others but also to help myself. For I am all too familiar with the experience of feeling not enough, or sometimes too much. This grew into a curiosity to explore the complexities of what it means to be human. To better understand both myself and those I serve, whilst seeking ways to help us not only to manage and cope, but to change and grow.

The noted psychiatrist, Irvin Yalom, said that it is the relationship that heals, and above all else, this is what I have learned. That it is through supportive and compassionate connection that we can let go of the past and embrace the present. That it is possible to heal, to transform that which ails us and enrich our lives by finding things that provide us with the meaning and purpose that allows us to flourish.

Most importantly, I found that it is okay to ask for help, and when we do, we often find exactly what we need.
